Patty Rickman is a mother, small business owner, advocate, and survivor.

 

Her deep roots in Delaware define her perspective: she isn’t interested in political climbing; she’s focused on the community she calls home.

 

Her Father’s Legacy: Patty’s father, Jack Rickman, was a veteran and her protector. After witnessing the trauma she endured surviving a strangulation attempt, Jack stood by her side. When he was dying of kidney failure, the Family Court denied a continuance, forcing Patty to face a legal system that ignored her family’s grief. “Justice isn't just about what happens inside a courtroom. It's about remembering that behind every case number is a human being, a family, and a life.”

This campaign belongs to everyone: Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and those voting for the first time. It’s for the survivors, veterans, and parents; for the healthcare workers, first responders, teachers, small business owners, and farmers struggling to make ends meet. Patty knows that progress requires listening to disagreement and having the hard conversations necessary to work across party lines.

The purple color throughout her campaign represents both sides, blue and red, coming together for a unified Delaware. Purple is also the color to raise awareness to Domestic Abuse, a cause which is Patty's beacon.
